It used to be 1.99 now I saw today the return I made it was 2.99 or 3.99. So if you order 10 things and return 5 you could pay 0 for shipping but like $15 in relisting fees. I’d rather try to resell a $10 item than pay $3.99 to return it. But eventually your investors expect to get paid, so you have to raise prices and cut costs (unless you can take enough advantage of economies of scale, which apparently wasn't the case with ThredUp.) I hope to make a profit but it also relieves me of my guilt knowing they donate what they don’t sell. They’ve taken more than 100 items from me and usually accept almost all of them but my most recent payout was .35 cents. If you do the same I recommend the Gap clean out bags. They process very quickly, and you get an upfront credit to Gap brands (including banana and athleta ). No processing fee. Increased restocking fees, increased return shipping fees, now a processing fee...yikes! 2023 is the year I stop selling on ThredUP.The GA warehouse seems to be the slowest. Avoid it if possible. I don't know how much of that is Fedex and how much is thredup. On their website, it says you should get your stuff in 11 days.
