With the surgically repaired wrist and the recoil-sensitive factor, I would suggest that you go with something with less recoil than the .45 / .410 Judge. I have one and believe me it has considerably more recoil than my TCP 738 and my PT138.The way I got it formed to my Judge PD was to: 1. soak the leather slide holster in water, 2. wrap the handgun securely in several layers of Saran Wrap to water-proof it, 3. and remove the holster from the water, slide the wrapped-up gun into it. 4. and hand-conform the holster to the gun. 5. I had read a thorough and very favorable article on it and was able to get the feel of it in an out-of-state gun shop (where I was not eligible to buy it).Though this Judge is all stainless steel, it is destined to be replaced by a model with a titanium cylinder and aluminum-alloy frame. My advice to you is: Never attempt or accept the job of removing a barrel from a Taurus with a barrel insert. The insert is steel; what it's attached to isn't.
