Oct 31, 2018 · Our ten year-old Infinity SYSTXCC Controller (for running a dual stage Heat Pump/Furnace system) has failed, and according to our service guy, it cannot be repaired. In 2008 when we bought it, the warranty was a measly 5 years with no option to extend it via registration. Carrier won't do anything for us, so we're SOL.

The ability to use a variable fan speed is a lie. The system determines fan speed and mine has never been adjustable. You can set 4 temperatures.

Only thing of note is that adjustments made on the thermostat itself occasionally get overwritten by Infinitude, so my family uses exclusively HA or Google home to make adjustments now, which is better than the interface on that POS anyhow. Yes, I have not been able to connect to my WiFi 6 access points running both 2.4g and 5g bands. All devices in home work fine except the Carrier thermostat. It worked with the Carrier ver 3.61 software, but stopped communicating on any version beyond 3.61. Those codes back to back, mean: 1. You had an electrical problem in the outdoor unit. 2. The outdoor board is no longer operating for a myriad of reasons.

update to this issue (I was having it too) - Carrier has release 4.23 for the thermostat, and on Android they have updated the Home app. This has resolved all these issues. Now my app connects almost immediately, and the changes on the app reflect almost instantaneously on it. Took carrier long enough.
